The Samsung Galaxy Y User Review

The Samsung Galaxy Y is can safely be described as the poor man's android handset. Priced at an incredible 7200 Rs, it is among the most cost efficient android sets around. I am proud to say that I have been using a Galaxy Y for a few months now, and I would like to review it based on my use of the phone.
Straight off the bat, this is a low end budget android phone. Thus, it will only be a matter of time before you stumble across a few apps, especially HD games which will just not work on the (unrooted, anyway) phone. But it is fair to say that if you had HD gaming and power using in mind, you should not have gotten this phone. A small rough patch is the battery drain during internet usage, especially 3G networks. This, though, is a problem with any phone whatsoever.

Where the phone really shines is in daily usage. You can just be fully in sync with the way the phone works as far as regular messaging, phoning, and multimedia are concerned. And if you get yourself a comfy internet plan, the phone really becomes an extension of your life. I am not joking. Constant Facebook activity, access to a world of apps from Google Play (and other questionable sources), all the information on the internet, YouTube... you name it! I'll go so far as to say that with food, water and a power source, this phone is all you're gonna need to be Bear Grylls! (or for the uncoordinated, survive in the deadly wild).

So, all in all, the Galaxy Y should be your absolute first choice budget android. It is incredibly great for what it's going to cost you, and often trumps higher end phones in practical usage. Go buy it before you use that spare 8000 rs for some nonsense!
